Allie Heaton

  Allie is a kind and caring mom of five who is passionate about helping kids grow in confidence and joy. A city girl turned rural adventurer, she’s embraced country life and the close-knit community it brings. With experience as a reading coach and a heart for encouraging every child, Allie is excited to bring her energy and creativity to our Games and Movement class—helping kids fall in love with staying active while building strong minds and bodies.

Class Description:

  Get ready to move, play, and explore the world! This high-energy class is themed around Games Around the World, where students will discover and play traditional games enjoyed by children across different cultures. From tag games in Africa to tossing games from South America, each week brings a new country, a new game, and a new adventure in movement!

Through global games, team challenges, obstacle courses, and movement-based activities, students will build coordination, teamwork, and confidence—all while having a blast. This class is perfect for kids who love to move, as well as those who could use a little encouragement to find joy in physical activity in a fun, low-pressure, and supportive environment.

Course Objectives:

  By the end of this class, students will:

  • Improve coordination, agility, and balance through active play
     
  • Build teamwork and sportsmanship in cooperative and competitive games
     
  • Develop problem-solving and strategic thinking through movement challenges
     
  • Gain confidence in physical activity while having fun and staying engaged
     
  • Learn classic games from countries all over the world.

Class Structure:

  Each session will follow a consistent and engaging format:

Warm-Up & Icebreaker (5 minutes)
 

  • Stretching, light movement, and fun warm-up games
     
  • Quick team-building or partner challenges
     

Main Game or Skill Focus (30 minutes)
 

  • Introduction to the day's main game or skill
     
  • Explanation of rules, safety, and strategy
     
  • Practice rounds before full gameplay
     

Movement Challenge or Obstacle Course (20 minutes)
 

  • Rotating movement-based challenges
     
  • Relay races, balancing activities, coordination drills
     

Cool Down & Reflection (5 minutes)
 

  • Breathing and stretching
     
  • Group discussion: What did we enjoy today? What did we learn?
