A hands-on, high-movement reading class can be an exciting and engaging way to promote literacy

fun, incorporating movement to help maintain focus and support different learning styles.

"cat," "dog," and "pen") and a growing understanding of spelling patterns.

He has a new bike.”)
2. Collaborative and Social Skills:
Ability to Work in Pairs or Small Groups:
o Students should be comfortable engaging in group writing or reading activities, such as
brainstorming story ideas with a partner, creating group poems, or discussing a story as
a class.
