Welcome

This hybrid kindergarten through second-grade class will meet for two hours, twice a week. Classroom sessions will be focused on math AND language skills, blending interactive hands-on activities with comprehensive instruction.  Each session students will work with a grade level mentor, followed by assignments sent home with students to continue student learning at home, ensuring continuous progress and mastery.

Twice a week for one hour each day, students will come together for engaging sessions focused on developing their language proficiency through dynamic activities and comprehensive instruction. During and between sessions, students will receive tailored assignments to reinforce their learning from class at home, fostering independent practice and mastery of grade level language, grammar, vocabulary, and writing concepts.

Twice a week, students will gather for engaging sessions.  Students will  practice mathematical concepts through interactive activities and comprehensive instruction finding  confidence with multiplication and division skills, as well as an understanding of working with fractions and decimals. To reinforce learning and promote independent practice, students receive customized assignments to complete at home between sessions.

Students will meet two days per week for one hour.  Students will first be assessed to determine their understanding, then they will be divided into instruction groups so that during class they will be given specific instruction and assignments to be completed at home. Class time will be spent in instruction, working on and analyzing problems, playing math games, doing real world math problems, and solving math puzzles.

Students will meet two days per week for one hour.  Sessions will be focused on advanced arithmetic operations including fractions, decimals, and percentages, along with introductory algebraic concepts such as solving equations and understanding linear relationships. We will also delve into geometry, exploring geometric shapes, properties, and measurements to develop spatial reasoning and problem-solving abilities. As well as introductory statistics and probabilities.

 This class is held once per week for two hours. Your child will get to sing, dance, play instruments, and hear stories in this lively, musical class.  Students will sing and  play instruments, they will begin to learn  keep a steady beat, repeat rhythm patterns, and play together in an ensemble. They will play games and participate in activities allowing them to express their feelings and ideas through movement and music.

  Students will be encouraged to think outside of the box with fun STEAM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) projects centered around high-quality literature. Join us as we read and learn through hands-on play and exploration! This class is on a 3-year rotation so
students can continue to take the class for multiple years. without repeating material.

 This will be a very hands on class that will explore basic art forms. We will learn and discuss aspects of art each week,  the theme will be based on a story we read together as a class. 

Play is also a very important part of learning for our youngest learners. We encourage curiosity and creativity by allowing students to create a project but also to have free time to play and use their imagination as well.

Learn with us as we “visit” a new country each week, working our way through the 7 continents. This class is on a 3-year rotation, focusing on different countries each year, so students can take the class multiple years, continually increasing their understanding of world geography and cultures.

Our reading and movement class  combines the joy of literacy with the excitement of physical activity, fostering holistic development in young learners. Through interactive stories, games, and movement exercises, children enhance their literacy skills while promoting physical coordination, social interaction, and a love for learning.

 In this class we will embark on an exciting journey of exploration and discovery, discovering the wonders of mathematics through engaging activities and games. Through hands-on experiences and playful learning, young learners develop foundational math skills while fostering a positive attitude towards numbers and problem-solving.

 Kids need movement and interaction, this class is the best of both. Students will learn through playing games and activities. They will experience that our bodies feel better when they move and are active. Students will also learn the basics about nutrition and the importance of taking care of our bodies so they can be healthy and strong.

This class will provide a well-rounded artistic experience where all types of talent can be discovered and nurtured.  We will explore a different form of visual art each month: drawing, painting/color, collage, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, printmaking, and collaborative art.

The course progresses from an ancient era to today’s contemporary era.  Students will explore not only the events that occurred in these eras, but they will interact with the cultures through games, artifact research, foods, and art. This curriculum is on a 4-year rotating schedule so that a student may enroll for all 4 years without repeating material.

 In the technology, engineering and robotics class, students engage in hands-on activities to design, & build many engineering projects, along with an extensive unit on robotics. This course fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic learning environment. Guided by an experienced instructor, young learners explore STEM concepts while igniting their creativity and passion for innovation.

 Our beginning sign language class  introduces young learners to the beautiful language of signs. Through interactive activities and games, children delve into the basics of American Sign Language (ASL), learning fundamental signs for everyday communication. With a focus on learning everyday communication skills fostering cultural understanding and encouraging a lifelong appreciation of sign language and inclusivity.

This intro to Spanish class, will encourage young learners to embark on an exciting journey to discover the richness of the Spanish language and culture through interactive activities and games. Students will develop basic vocabulary, pronunciation skills, and cultural awareness, laying a solid foundation for future language proficiency.

 In our kids' coding class using Scratch programming software, young learners dive into the world of computer science by creating their own interactive stories, animations, and games. With Scratch's intuitive block-based programming interface, students will practice critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and find a passion for technology in a fun and engaging learning environment.

This class is held twice a week for one hour each day. During musical theater class, young performers immerse themselves in the magical world of theater, exploring singing, acting, and dancing in a supportive and creative environment. Guided by experienced instructors, children will develop confidence, teamwork skills, and a love for the performing arts as they rehearse and present on stage a Broadway Jr. production.

In our beginning choir class, students will embark on an enriching musical journey as they explore vocal techniques, harmony, and performance skills. Guided by an experienced instructor, participants will develop confidence, teamwork, and a love for singing while preparing for memorable choral performances.

 Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this course enhances ukulele skills and confidence through hands-on instruction, practice sessions, and group activities. Learn strumming, chord formations, fingerpicking, and basic ukulele theory. Play simple songs by course end, building a foundation for further exploration. No prior musical experience needed! Bring your own ukulele.
*Each student MUST provide their own ukulele.

Our folk band/strings class for teens offers an immersive musical experience where participants explore traditional folk tunes and contemporary string arrangements.  In this class we will group the world into regions and study a different region every month. Students will engage in more than just memorizing maps. They will discover the cultural elements of the people and places we study through music, dance, food, presentations, and more. 

We will try to have a monthly guest visitor sharing about a culture of their own or somewhere they have lived.

 Guten Tag! Our Beginning German class will introduce students to the wonderful language and culture of Germany. Students will focus on learning vocabulary words and developing conversation skills through activities, games, and music.
